St. Catherine of Siena
St. Catherine of Siena is a two-phase project that encompasses a 350-seat sanctuary area, a 75-seat multi-function student center, four classrooms, and a business and office area. Phase one allowed seating for approximately 200 in the sanctuary area. A fully equipped kitchen is surrounded by various activity areas. The main building is constructed with laminated arches and beams and metal tube trusses. Structural wood decking with metal roofing comprises the roof. The skin of the building is reddish-brown modular brick and 6-inch shiplap cedar siding. The building is situated in a heavily wooded residential area.
St. Anthony School and Parish Center
The two-phase expansion of St. Anthony's School and Parish Center melds elements of an 85-year old facility with technology needed to bring the church into the 21st century. The addition's masonry achieves seamless integration with the old facility.
The Parish Center entry addition incorporates four elevation changes with a newly constructed handicapped accessible elevator and a covered automobile drop-off area. The school addition consists of a 2,780-square-foot addition with room for a library, computer science lab and two kindergarten rooms. The building is constructed of load-bearing masonry with a brick veneer and a steel truss roof. Both facilities contain complete sprinkler systems and HVAC systems.
